Until recently, teaching was not something we understood the way it should be. We thought of the teachers as just another stakeholder in the process of education. But the COVID Lockdown and the subsequent flood of Online Teaching has brought the rationality back to teaching. Online teaching, the way we are ending up doing, looks like a cheap prescription followed obsessively.
And You Say that You are a Teacher
To say less would be enough because we all know who are the ones being mistaken here in education. I am ambitious to be a good teacher and the one who has more of obsession and passion to teach each moment. My fraternity, the one around me, is failing me. They are not teaching anymore. The way they should be on their guards is not there to be seen. They are behaving like deadwood.
The Right Door in the Wrong Times
Approach to a challenge is the magic wand you have to make the difference. It is up to you, totally, whether you kneel down or stand up cautiously to a problem that is there for some time. We, humans, have seen disasters. We have a history of getting back to normalcy even after nuclear bombs ruin each particle of life. Coronavirus and the social distancing is a challenge and we need to win over again.
We have Lost THE Irrfan Khan
Talking about him falls not under the category or news or academics, it is only one feeling that I can share and that is a sense of loss. I got this news from my wife and could not say much. It was a strange feeling that I felt once or twice at the death of someone in the family. The zero gravity at the loss. When you can speak less about it; but you do speak a lot.
Between Hope and Honesty
News reports are nightmarish. The images are fearful and frightening. The inner call is that this will pass; the eyes and heart are afraid that this might not pass without a cost. The days are stressed and nights are bleak. The positive thing is the daring of human being to make it a time to look for better all around. We see them taking cautions, sharing precautions and look pro-active in the face of this pandemic.
The Age of Social Distancing
Corona has connected the whole world. We know the number of countries in the world and we know where they are located. Globe seems so small today in the literal sense. People are dying of something known but still unknown. COVID has left us with one choice alone: Distancing ourselves and ensure that we do not get into open to meet people. Isn't it intriguing?
Time For Caution and Not For Daring
There is a time for daring and there is a time for caution. These are the times for the later and the former has to be kept under check for now. You do not need to fall prey to the temptations of the ‘external’ world. If you do so, it is at your cost and later becomes costly for the ones around you. There are always times of acting as Robinhood but there are certain times it is better to be the hermit.
The Unreal Times to Heal the Planet
Do not worry. We are not at fault for this fall of mankind from being in lead to being home-bound. We have least to acknowledge as our error of judgement, the hamartia, which makes us the ones who seem to have brought this upon themselves. Our individualist approach has done something, which has led to this sense of loss.
The Coronavirus Exam and Tips to Succeed
Nature is the Supreme Court! The man-made -pathies are merely the junior courts we can move to, seeking temporary solutions. The year of 2019 ended with something unending in 2020. The year which was supposed to be a year of global transformation is falling on the ground as the most 'helpless' year in the modern world.
