They paint the life of their disciples with colours of learning and lessons for a lifetime. The subjects they teach are mere excuses to intervene in the life of the students. As we say in this age, even Google can teach you the syllabus, a teacher teaches you about life. What makes teachers such a strange species?  What conspires in their mind and what makes them walk the extra miles? Who is their Muse? Let's find out!

I opened the draft/unpublished section and felt like completing the unfinished blog posts. This time the mind went to the oldest posts, still unpublished. To my surprise, this post was a complete post yet not published. Then I checked the publication details. It was created on 08 Jan 2015 at 10:34:35 and then went to drafts.

Articial Intelligence is not just for Machines

Atulpriya is one of the students who actually make me feel like a teacher. Of course, this feeling of being boastful about my own self includes the PRIDE that he has brought into existence. The HigherEd Fiasco in India

The ultimate purpose of education is to make one competent enough to make a life with meaning. For sure, this meaning cannot be attained in life if we fail to arrange the 'means' to sustain. If education fails, even slightly, to equip us with employability and a personal utility, then it is surely a failure, nothing else. 

Education is reciprocal and we are the communicators of this reciprocity. This concern for others is what makes us 'human' and the moment we deviate from this 'humane side', we are inhuman. Such a simple thing is not understood unless it is not being communicated to us by our belief systems, teachers, friends and Self!

Eklavyaism is not just about referring to the legend of the Master Learner - Eklavya. It is also not limited to your becoming a dedicated and determined learner in some skill or art. You cannot even restrict this -ism to be a motivator. Then what it is which runs as the undercurrent in Eklavyaism? It is the COURAGE that we take to be Creative and to be an Eklavya.

Teachers Must Plan Professional Development

Skill Enhancement is an important part of teaching and learning. We have heard for ages that Learning never stops. The same is applicable for teachers when they feel they will stay in this domain for a lifetime. The moment a teacher stops being a student, the teaching process becomes ineffective. A teacher has to keep professional development alive.

International Mother Language Day

There has been a special thing about elders around me. Since childhood, I have seen them with a magical faculty. This power of their intellect seems to be so natural to them. What it is? What makes them special and how we all can try walking the same 'less-travelled' paths now!

A Teacher can not be great. A teacher can neither be good nor successful. The reason is that "TEACHER" is the best version of oneself and there is no further ambition after taking up this task. The best is going to occur in the 'disciples' who are in your hands and you give them the foundation to shape their lives. Once a teacher is always a teacher.
