Google Suite, popularly known as G-Suite, is a comprehensive educational and business solution for digital or virtual management of the institution. Not just with the e-mail ids on the organisational domain, we also get a lot more features in the G-Suite for Education. There are some unique and useful features that we get in this suite.
01 October 2020 - (Update to this Post): Google has mentioned in a recent blog about the extension and a few more additions to the GSuite for Education. About the Free Use of Google Meet he blog says:
As we look ahead to a holiday season with less travel and important milestones like family reunions, PTA meetings and weddings hosted over video, we want to continue helping those who rely on Meet to stay in touch over the coming months. As a sign of our commitment, today we’re continuing unlimited Meet calls (up to 24 hours) in the free version through March 31, 2021 for Gmail accounts.
While we see a flood of customized and comprehensive search and sale of Learning Management Systems (LMS), Google has gone ahead to capture a big market. We feel they were slow in reaching out to the education sector amid the pandemic. But with the ‘free offering’ of Google Meet, they made it clear – they are there for a lot of business. Big institutions like the University of Delhi have gone for Google for Education products and the complete suite has been implemented across colleges. Google has been offering a LIFE-TIME FREE Google Suite for Education to all educational institutions – schools, higher-ed and Non-Profits. But their GSuite Business and GSuite for Education’s Enterprise Editions are for sale, with some really big things to make use of.
Do keep in mind that the 'life-saver' Google Meet is actually a G-Suite for Education - Enterprise Edition tool. Once the COVID 'We help you' is gone - which is said to be 30 September, Google shall make google Meet- 250 users, Recording and Live Streaming, a part in the Google Suite For Education's Enterprise Edition. Remember that Google is offering paid services as advanced products for long.
In simple words:
If you're not subscribed to the G Suite Enterprise edition, the free period for advanced Google Meet video conferencing features ends on 30 September 2020.

Advanced Google Meet Features mainly is the Live Stream and the Recording functions.

With each Teacher User Account purchased, they give you 10 students free user ids. So, as an Institution, you can go for this product because Zoom or WebEx or any other web-Conferencing platform shall not give live streaming and recording to each teacher.
There we get licenses as HOSTs. So you need to buy several Host accounts. But in g-suite, you get to use Meet in the Google Classroom itself. The feature of Originality Checking -Plagriasm Checking- comes in the official g-Suite for Education and there shall be no limit on the number of assignments a teacher can check through this. There are lot many features that make an institution take the G-Suite for Education. Be it Supervision of the Activity reports, user management or Permission to the users to use Google Products through the G-Suite based Institutional Mail-ID.
