2020 is not just the coming of a new year in our lives. It is not just the shuffling of a page or removal of the old calendar from the wall. 2020 is the conclusion of the most happening decade of the 21st century.

The first decade conveyed that there are immense possibilities and potentialities in mankind. They turned their imaginations into reality on the technological grounds. We have witnessed a huge transition from basic technology to super-advanced Sci-Tech. Imagine the days of using a landline phone or a Nokia 1100 in the last decade. Or try to recall the use of a TV or a seasoned automobile that wasn’t out of your financial bounds. 2011-2019 has brought the gigantic rise in aspirations as well as offerings. That’s business and we aren’t related to that side of life in EklavyaParv.

What changed most is the inner self. Unfortunately, it did not change for the good or towards the good. The vacuum enlarged and engulfed peace of mind, determinations, togetherness and self-belief. It brought trust-deficit among humans. The fight that used to be between communities and clans, headed to a new battleground- Human versus Human. In most of the cases, it is the clash with our own self that led us to fight with the world around us.

If winter comes, can spring be far behind? Certainly Not! The brave new world gave us a chance to head inside and see that there is a complete universe in our intellects. We could see that among other skills, LIFE SKILLS have a role to play. We could define what Emotional Quotient has as an offering to us. We could realise that the world we live in, actually belongs to our children who are going to schools each day with a reason unknown to them. We could help the rise of ‘Spirituality and Life Management’ which has ultimately established a ground for, at least, better intentions to live.

The ‘almost gone’ 2019 brought me back to The Secret of pursuing the Life Goals. After understanding that there is no secret to accomplish your dreams, rather the dreams and their fulfilment is hidden near us, EklavyaParv became a reality. As Paulo Coelho puts in The Alchemist that the Destiny is written- MAKTUB- many of us have given ears to our inner voice. Be it the Bhagavad Gita or the ancient wisdom on life philosophies, which guide us from complex to compassionate, have become a popular product in the market. We can accept that the purpose of life is a life of purpose. But the understanding we need to get is that the Purpose of Life is Life Itself!  We have a lot to do in 2020 and the primary thing should be a resolution to Invest In Self. This investment never goes waste and certainly gets you meaningful dividends. The change in you should be towards a self which looks for answers within. The cravings to derive meaning out of random happenings around you should stop and there should be a focus on something that belongs to your passion.

This suggests a change in the routine and regular path of working in life. Of course, the studies and career are important but the work-life-relationship-empathy balance is also a need. The changes that have covered us from all sides in these 19 years speak for themselves. The negatives and positives are known clearly and over-engagement with any of these takes us away from inner peace. Hence, we need to be vigilant and must search for something that gives us the existence of worth.

Gandhi Ji gave us the Mantra to be the Leader of Our Own Life - "Be the Change You Wish to See in the World!" These words say it all for the mind which has the willingness to make a difference by bringing the difference in his own life. Our driving force - the Philosophy of Eklavyaism - also speaks of the same life-fuel. When we start believing in the truth that 'we create ourselves' the cosmos drives us towards our goals. The obsessions we impose on us about the material targets and marketed ambitions are not the actual wheels to drive on. Rather the passion, empowered by conviction and self-awareness (self-analysis) is the life-blood, filled with vitality.

We are the leaders of our own destiny as well as of the people around us. Being a leader does not mean dominating the situation. It means empowering people to do what they would not have imagined possible. Everyone seems to have a clear idea of how other people should lead their lives, but none about his or her own, says Paulo Coelho. The way we live and leave this world is what we can teach the world.  Do remember that your heart speaks to you. It does make a call whenever you have an urge to leap into something demanding. You cannot escape from this device, placed deep inside you and the intellect listens to the heart's words intuitively.

We all are liable to err and shall have the opportunity to learn from this. Those who see the lesson, are the learners and those who don't see the learning are the lost ones.  We have not seen the future but we all know that the ground we plough today is the canvas on which we shall paint our tomorrow. Beyond tomorrow, let us not try to predict. However, we can see ourselves in our own ‘truthfully’ drafted dreams. There has to be rationality and honesty in what we want to do with our own life. The truth is that we can not change the world but we can certainly change our own self. Wake Up Tomorrow and see your face in the mirror. You are the Most Important Person for Yourself.

Be Your Own Leader- Be Your Own MAKER!

May the Year 2020 Gets Us All the Serenity - Courage - Wisdom we seek each day!

God, grant me the serenity
to accept the things I cannot change,
the courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
enjoying one moment at a time;
accepting hardship as a pathway to peace;
taking, as Jesus did,
this sinful world as it is,
not as I would have it;
trusting that You will make all things right
if I surrender to Your will;
so that I may be reasonably happy in this life
and supremely happy with You forever in the next.

Amen.
