Apna Radio aka Our Radio is just a random shot to the galaxy of professional Podcasters and we are sure to grab a few shining stars with this out-of-the-way thing. The show was recorded without a given script and the surprised-but-smart people participated with a happy heart.
The participating students are from MMDU, Mullana, Ambala & the show is conceptualised & hosted by Parveen Kumar.
The Introduction goes like this on Podbean. This platform was discovered just a few days ago while I was searching for alternatives to SoundCloud, another old and popular podcasting platform. It was SoundCloud, that introduced me to Audiobooks/Podcasting. However, the limitation on upload in the free accounts and the fewer tech-features made me find some alternative. I landed up seeing Podbean as a possible platform with a good App having a creative interface.
The two audio recordings of the Short Stories (Syllabus related) were edited with background music and posted on the platform. Before that, the channel or account was named as Learning Radio! This is itself a special thing that I could not name it as my own account feeling the urge to make a big collaboration. It seemed true when I was told that I am moving towards things that people generally finish doing before they turn 30! This sounds true as well. I look at the fraternity turning passive to the newness of the technology and also see students getting mad about the Tech-Wonders. The GAP is bound to occur and shall definitely hit back the education we should give them. Once, the learners and the teachers are happy about the whole process of learning, that creates true upliftment and enlightenment of the mind. We give them the best we can; we feel happy about, they learn limitlessly with us.
Creative Interventions, like this, are a necessary part and do touch them deeply. Giving them an opportunity to be happy and joyful is the first thing to the betterment of the education system. Podcasting seems apt for this age.
Anyways, Learning Radio started work and it was decided that more stories will be coming to assist the students in the proper reading of the texts. Then, while taking a session of Literary and Communication Skills with some of the like-minded kids, the idea of making a Radio Show occurred from 'somewhere'. There were no discussion or deliberations or arguments to decide the name or what to speak. It was as liberal and joyful to make as the interactions among us have been. Here comes the APNA RADIO for you all:
