EduSoMedia Blogs have been recognised globally as an initiative to empower the HigherEd learners. When the blogs were first made and the student started writing for the blogs, the world came to know them as Commandants of innovative Learning. This Model of Learning has been appreciated all over and the best thing happened is- Student Participation.

Education through Social Media does not fall into the debate of what is Social Media or Social Network. Rather, it believes in joining the mission to 'Enhance Learning and Empower the Learner'. We started without thinking of making some unique thing for record books. But we do have this passion that any technology that seems to be popular gaming students, must be part of their learning in the classroom as well.

Starting 2009, at Amity University, NOIDA with nothing in mind about making a change, I have been doing this EduSoMedia with a selfish reason. That is for my own learning. A Teacher ceases to be a teacher the moment he feels there is no need to learn further. I wanted to make a blog for myself. The plan to start a poetry blog or a blog to write stories was to materialise with the students only. So, have opted for the Collaboration Model, in a special way. I shall teach and train them in the use of something I am doing for my own self. This is like sharing the same food with them that I see delicious for my own mind.

The logic and rationale are simple. Am I preparing them for the past or the world they will exit into? of course, the answer is - making them Future Ready! Blogs, Social Media, Web 2.0 is going to take them along to a new dawn in employability. The aim is not to make them enjoy what learning is, this will happen as a compliment. But the larger picture is to make them "SMART" for the upcoming age of Infodemic.

These blogs have been rooted in the daily learning schedules of students now. Each of the class assigned to me has got a blog. There are a few sections that were without a blog, hence we allot them other class blogs to work on. Students upload their assignments, views on random topics, Proceedings of the Class Held so that there is a record of what we studied in that particular session and Podcast (embedded) as well. The EduSoMedia Digital Presentations (Communication Skills) have also been embedded into the blogs. The Blog Managers work religiously to keep the class blog updated. Students contribute articles on topics they want to write on. Notes are shared before the examination. We go a step ahead in sharing by sending the links of all feel EduSoMedia Blogs to other classes of the same sections. This way 'Collaborative Learning' takes place and this collective knowledge helps them in creating learning content.

If you are reading this and not having time to open the above-given links - Let's invite you to have a single step action for us:

Just Search on the web - EduSoMedia - or EduSoMedia Blogs and we are sure the scene on the screen shall bring something good for us. Blogs will come to the list. To go further to EduSoMedia 1.0's wonderful accomplishments - See for Images and Videos as well. Some more drilling into SoundCloud, AuthorStream and SlideShare shall open the box of amazement to you. It is slightly a thing to boast of that MY STUDENTS are making Blogs, Podcasts, Presentations, Youtube Vlogs and are also into the world of Micro-blogging on Twitter. When we shall enter the second decade of the century, we are sure EduSoMedia shall mean something more.

We invite the World to See what it means to LEARN Together and bring a Meaning to a .special subject taught commonly. - i.e. Communication Skills.
