The Gurudev we know as Rabindranath Tagore has written some of the timeless masterpieces for us to read. It is magical that we read the stories for something in the beginning and by the time the story concludes, we have experienced an immense amount of emotional turmoil that seems to do the catharsis of our heart.

The story in this post is The Babus of Nayanjore. Kailas Babu, who has lost all his land-holdings to the modern reforms where the royal families have been relieved of their princely estates and now have settled in among common people. But, the aura- the grace or the 'addiction' to Royalty is yet to go. Still, we do not feel bad about Kailas Babu and by the goodness of his heart and manners, he takes us along.

The narrator, turning notorious and then getting back to his senses when the charming girl, Kusum, shakes his mind with the truth.

One must read this story and feel why the writings of Tagore are timeless creations.

Listen to the Podcast/Audiobook while you move your eyes on the pages, as it sounds like Rabindra Music when his words come to us.
